Gene and his team were flexible, quick and friendly with our situation! This is our first home and the first time we have had to do something like this. I had a kitchen leak that caused a big mold problem between my kitchen floor and basement ceiling so I was referred to Gene Gass of EFG Cleaning & Restoration. A kitchen leak left my basement ceiling panels wet. When I removed them, I found black mold, as well as another questionable substance that was also confirmed to be mold. The situation was assessed and additional mold was found throughout the basement and in the boiler room. After inquiring with other mold remediation services about work that needed to be done, and feeling very unsatisfied with costs, procedures and responsiveness, I was finally referred to EFG Cleaning & Restoration and was told that Gene would be "the best guy for the job." After using his services, I couldn't agree more. Gene was extremely courteous from the very beginning. He promptly came to assess the situation and provided me with the specific details of the required work. He thoroughly explained about the newly specialized equipment that he uses to treat and guarantee the mold removal and disinfection of the entire area. Gene is not only an expert in his field but he is warm and friendly toward his clients. He offered to contact the insurance company to explain our mold matter. He relieved me of a lot of stress and made the process very easy for me. Gene sealed off the contaminated area and cleaned up after he was finished without any issues. He removed the affected drywall and cleaned the ceiling panels. The mist solution was applied throughout the basement and all of the affected areas were decontaminated. The site visit was scheduled and they followed up with me a few hours before confirming that they'd arrive a few minutes early and to check if that was ok. Yes, not late- but EARLY. A pretty rare experience for any service provider. The actual testing was thorough and easy. From a visual inspection and moisture testing tool to the high-tech inspection tool that sees moisture and heat through walls He specifically sampled each area that I was concerned about and was done in about 25 minutes. I was told that lab results and analysis could take a few days. When results came back work was done in a very proficient way eliminating all water damage causing the mold. Working with Gene at EFG was phenomenal! We moved into our house just about 2 years ago and found some issues that needed mold remediation just last month. During our initial walk through for an estimate he took the time to let us ask any questions we might have, and his explanations were clear and concise.
